Actually,
leave it out from your lunch, dinner and snacks as well.
Milk and all dairy products are hard to digest and cause
a lot of mucus. Throughout most of the A.M. hours the body
is naturally cleansing. Don't interrupt that cleansing process
by straining your digestive system. That's why on the Program
we eat only fresh fruit during that time. One of a kind
and as much as we want.
Dr.
Benjamin Spock, who long advocated drinking cow's milk,
joined several physicians at a conference four years ago
in questioning milk's nutritional value and warning of the
possible harm it can cause some children. At the conference,
one of the leading physicians, Frank A. Oski, M.D., said
"There's no reason to drink cow's milk at any time
in your life."
Henry
Bieler, M.D., another prominent physician, warned of the
potential dangers of cow's milk and particularly attacked
the notion that you need milk to build strong bones. "Herbivorous
animals build strong muscles and bones from grass and leaves
alone. The elephant lives on leaves and grows his enormous
tusks from the calcium protein of the leaves. The moose
and elk grow huge antlers in just a few months each year,
shedding them again in winter - the moose on a diet of water
plants and green leaves, the elk on leaves, twigs and grass."
Milk
is fine for the growing calf which doubles the weight of
its bones every month for the first three month of its life,
it is not designed for human consumption and certainly not
necessary for adult humans to have good health and strong
bones. |
