Why
our Aloe Vera?
In
1988, of 200 brands tested, only 3 Aloe Vera products contained
sufficient amounts of the active agents necessary for healing.
HSU whole leaf, cold-press 10x Aloe Vera has guaranteed highest
amount of solids (10,000 MPS) available. Our Aloe Vera is
made by Aloecorp.

HOW
TO CHOOSE THE BEST ALOE VERA JUICE?
In the past decade the market place has been flooded with
Aloe products, and many of these products have been flooded
with water. In fact, many are so diluted as to be of little
or no benefit. Yet, the most exciting discoveries of the past
four or five years relate to effects of concentrated Aloe
on health and healing. Density of active ingredients is clearly
a key to efficacy; though of course this does not mean that
"more is always better," irrespective of the application.
HISTORY
Native
Americans recognized it as the "Burn Plant," "Medicine Plant,"
the "Mystery Plant" that heals itself. Aristotle persuaded
Alexander the Great to conquer the island of Socroto to secure
the aloe grown there to use for the wounds of his soldiers.
Biblically, John 19:39 mentions aloe as part of the mixture
being used for the anointing of the body of Jesus Christ after
his death. Eastern women value aloe for the "beauty of their
skin." Nomadic people would dig up thin valuable aloe plants
and carry them live to every new campsite for fear that they
might not find them growing in their new location.
THE
SUCCULENT LEAF of the Aloe Vera plant is one of nature's
best kept secrets. It is truly a natural packaging miracle.
When cut or broken, it immediately seals off the vital juices
inside and appears to heal the wounded leaf. However, all
aloe products are not equal. Some bottlers of Aloe Vera label
their products 98%, 99% and even 100% aloe vera, yet when
tested, few, if any, of the active ingredients needed to potentially
benefit the body are found. In short, the best aloe is one
which contains the constituents that contain the active ingredients
for positive effect, instead of material with negative effects.
In response to this industry crisis, the International Aloe
Science Council (IASC), a nonprofit agency, was founded to
provide for independent testing of Aloe products.
The
HSU 10:1 concentrate ALOE VERA JUICE meets or exceeds all
standards for Aloe purity form the IASC.
An
Aloe leaf contains more than 200 different constituents,
which points to the fact that the leaf should be harvested
and processed to assure that the active constituents are present
in satisfactory amounts and are not adversely altered by the
method of preparation. Mrs. Hsu has learned how the desired
constituents have been maximized through the new processing
method, while the undesirable elements (aloin) have been selectively
removed. Among the desirable constituents are the polysaccharides.
Polysaccharides are the 'active' ingredients. Heretofore,
traditional methods of refining the aloe plant involve a hand-filleting
process to remove the gel from the leaf. The leaf is then
discarded. Ironically, the largest concentration of the active
ingredients, polysaccharides, are found just beneath the outer
surface of the leaf (the rind), which can be bitter, and difficult
to refine. (Reminds you of the "rind" in citrus, location
of the bioflavanoids, which power vitamin C!).
This
whole leaf process employed in the making of HSU Aloe
Vera Juice allows the cellulose (skin) to be dissolved,
as well as measurable amounts of aloin to be removed. This
total procedure is done entirely by a cold process treatment.
Maximum efficacy is thus assured, resulting in a product rich
in polysaccharides (active ingredients; natural sugars. You're
talking 'energy' here: HEALING energy).
